About

Gina Savory

Hi, I’m Gina Savory from StressCatcher. As a British-trained experienced Integrative Counsellor with a background in Clinical Psychology, I help people with their issues with depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, personality disorders, abuse and traumas.

I aim to help my clients understand themselves better so they can live their lives empowered by their self-awareness and regain control over their own lives.

I have also worked as a Psychologist (Clinical and Research) for since 1998. I have had clinical experience in various settings, including different NHS Mental Health Services, Wellbeing Services and private practice abroad and in the UK.

I offer a confidential, non-judgmental and empathic space in which you can explore your thoughts and feelings. I aim to help you understand yourself better so that you can make the changes you want to see in your life. I work collaboratively with my clients, incorporating different approaches and techniques according to each individual’s needs. Predominantly I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Techniques (if appropriate), a Person-Centred Approach and a supportive Psychodynamic understanding of where my client is on the path of their life.

If you would like to find out more about how I could help you, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Training, qualifications & experience:

I originally qualified in 1998 as a Clinical Psychologist, working in different countries, including at the World Health Organisation (WHO) in Geneva.

I have worked for ten years in the NHS Mental Health services in East Anglia, with different mental health problems. I have also worked with primary care health clients with from depression and anxiety at Wellbeing Services in Norfolk.

My experience has led me to work with different types of therapies, from psychodynamic to cognitive behavioural, leading me to where I am now.

Currently, I work as an Integrative Counsellor, integrating different theories (person-centred, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioural therapy). I also qualified through Middlesex University Dip HE in Integrative Counselling.

Outside my work, I love to spend time with my dogs, my hobbies (photography and quilting) and spending time with my family.
